Missoula Co. authorities explain COVID-19 testing timeline – NBC Montana

Research by the New York Times found that Montana is one of 12 states meeting their target number of tests. As coronavirus cases continue to rise across Montana and in Missoula County, health officials say your coronavirus test results could be delayed. "It really kind of depends on why you’re getting tested and where you get tested,” Missoula City-County Health Department COVID-19 Incident Commander Cindy Farr said. The amount of people tested in a day also effects when you’ll get your results.
