Ballad Health ends surgeries at Mountain View Regional Hospital

Ballad Health no longer has an operating room at Norton’s Mountain View Regional Hospital. Ballad says the change is for the better, but residents are upset. “This is life and death, and they’re just thinking money,” Vickie Smith said. Surgeries stopped in October, but there was no public announcement. “They could’ve at least let everybody know these services are not going to be offered anymore and this is why. I don’t even know if they have an explanation,” Smith said. Del.
