Amy Winehouse’s parents praise ‘wonderful legacy’ on star’s 35th birthday


On what would have been the star’s 35th birthday, Amy Winehouse’s parents have praised the singer as having left a second “wonderful legacy” in addition to her music. The artist died in her Camden flat in July 2011 aged just 27 from alcohol poisoning, following sustained battles with addiction and mental health issues including anorexia and bulimia.
